Glenhaven's Fire Season in ReviewWith the fire season declared over, we take a look at the major events in the Glenhaven Rural Fire Brigade's bushfire season.Thankfully the 2006/2007 fire season passed without any major fire activity in the Glenhaven area. The Brigade were called to assist other brigades in the Baulkham Hills Shire throughout the season, including the Section 44 early in the season. Other fires attended by the Brigade were the Blue Mountains and Ku-Ring-Gai Section 44's. Crews from the Brigade were deployed to Victoria on a number occasions to assist with the firefighting effort. The Brigade is now preparing for Fuel Management Work in the Glenhaven area, some of which involves burning of hazards.
